Sleep Pralysis the other night

Just wanted to post my experience from the other night before I forget all the details.
So I'm laying in bed and it took forever to get to sleep. Once I finally do the sleep pralysis hits, of course right, I knew what it was since it's happened 1 or 2 other times.

So I'm dreaming, and it's odd that I remember this cuz I never remember my dreams. The dream had Aunt May from the Spider-man comics outside of her house (yes I'm 25 and still read some comics, that isn't what we are discussing here alright) and there's this frightening noise and she goes into her house. Then I kind of fade out of the dream and wake up, but the noise is still there, and of course I can't move. The noise was like a loud buzzing, metallic stairs creeking. Kind of thought that someone was coming up the stairs into the bedroom, but the noise of that was altered, almost scratchy. My left eye was open a bit so I could see the door leading to the stairs. I tried looking up and down, when I looked up I just looked at the inside of my eyelid, eyelid was paralyzed obviously.

The whole thing lasted about a minute from what I could tell, I tried moving my leg to hit my girl, but again, paralyzed, didn't work. When it was done it just faded away. Left me a little alert. There was the whole overwhelming sense of fear / other presence thing there, but since I knew what it was I was calm throught the ordeal. And of course I couldn't get back to sleep for another hour or so. And to top it all off, my girl wakes me up at 5:45am because my hand was by my mouth and she thought that I was sucking my thumb, haha.

i have found ways to coupe. usually wiggling my toes before falling paralized helps other times i need to hit a hard surface. ive put two holes in my wall so far. as for sleep i do get it at times but usually with the strangness of my abnormal dream. dealing with faceless creatures shadowed but none horrible. none trying to hurt me. i have come to realized that these are harmless and i do enjoy thier company. may sound werid but true. Zumalove, I think I was tired the next day but ok, I always end up eating a little late, probably around 7:30 or so like normal, and I don't remember being particulary stressed that day or night.

Scary! Did you get enough hours of sleep that night, did you eat before sleeping that night, and were you stressed that night?

Tsoi, yours sounds a lot more severe than the 2 or 3 times I have experienced it. Hope everything works out and you can find a way to sleep peacefully. How often does yours occur?
