I think it may be some kind of letter frequency counter in a piece of text:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letter_frequencies
Letters that are commonly used in text appear more in that clue than letters that appear less common in text. I've had a quick take at trying to see if anything works with the song titles, but nothing has worked yet.

Except that e, not a, is the most common letter. At least in English.

True, but not every sample of text is going to follow that distribution exactly.

A good idea from Traversing.net: The clue is possibly a frequency count of the letters in the names of all 18 cities that treasures are hidden in.

good idea however i noticed there's no "f" and i kind of want to say they'd have one in the hometown area, unless it's in oakland....

There are seven d's, by the way.

Well, I've found reason to believe (but not to conclude) that the cities are NOT what generated those letters. I listed, according to Traversing, all of the cities that dredg had played in from the beginning of 2008 until now. I have this:

-Assume that they only hid treasures in cities they played shows in, and that the letters are from the names of the 18 cities.
-There's only ONE 'j' anywhere in these city names: Jacksonville, FL. So then Jacksonville has to be one of the cities. Note that this gets rid of our one 'j' and our one 'k'.
-There's only one 'y' in the clue. The relevant cities with a 'y' in the name are:
    Oklahoma City, OK
    New York, NY
    Salt Lake City, UT
    Kansas City, MO
    Iowa City, IO
    West Hollywood, CA
-The first four cities have a 'k', and we already used up our only 'k'. the last two have a 'w', and we didn't even have a 'w' to start with. Thus, there's no way to satisfy the problem.

So then if those letters do come from cities, then it's not just the cities they played shows in. Unless I missed something, but I was fairly thorough, and put all of the cities into notepad and used the find option to look for the letters.

    Anyway, back to obsessing.

Doesn't have to be his buried body. A statue is pretty dead.

Though I'll admit, his burial space makes more sense.

    Try New Orleans also.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Sidney_Johnston

Buried in New Orleans. Later moved to Austin. There is an explanation near the bottom of the Wikipedia page. Plus, wasn't Drew just in New Orleans like last week?

AND they just played all over texas. dallas was the 14th, austin the 15th and then houston and san antonio, i believe.

so if this location IS austin then what about "down to the cellar = houston?" dredg does have a big texas following but are there really two locations in texas? and does this mean that drew is hiding clues/treasures on their current tour now?

and i live in dallas why the hell am i typing right now instead of driving to austin!!! because im sure someone has to have already have found it by now, its 1am and i just got home and read this clue! i want to go first thing in the morning but i have work (lame) and i bet there will be a line of dredgheads waiting with shovels outside that cemetery ready to flip over rocks! i should just say FUCK WORK and go down there right now!
