RE: and the long awaited second treasure hunt begins...
i just joined and i got a question. Do all the clues lead up to a treasure that is the same but spread out in 18 locations? or is there going to be 18 different things to find?
also, i like the gene ideas. saviour reminds me of religion and there is a god gene, so maybe this helps. here's the wikipedia article for the god gene, i don't know what numbers represent the gene tho. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VMAT2 -

New to thisforum. . . I am excited to read your ideas about genetics and am impressed at the lengths you are all taking to uncover the seemingly obvious truth of this hunt. . .

RE: and the long awaited second treasure hunt begins...
Still following the gene idea until something better enters either my or your collective minds... I really like the idea of the God gene, vmat2, being the code for Saviour. That 4 digit gene code would be depicted as 6571 if it was added back to the sequence. The new sequence would be:
107201000150131510381000330065716011613839459321251501500117
Had an area code train of thought, but it was derailed. Most all the numbers don't have area codes to match. BUT, something interesting... if you input the four digit gene code for vmat2, you get 20 sequences of three digit numbers, two of which are 000, which leaves us with 18 sequences. Which brings us back to the 18 clues idea, which while unconfirmed, seems to be at least valid. Here is the sequence, discarding the 000's and adding in the 6571 vmat code:
107
201
150
131
510
381
330
065
716
011
613
839
459
321
251

Something to consider.
The original number could be a cipher and Saviour could be the keyword. I'm going to work on it tonight and see if I can't get anything out of it. -

I'd like to see where this goes. -

Well, here's what I got after a couple minutes. I get the distinct impression it doesn't mean anything, although who knows. Replace the ? in the first clue with the word Saviour. (spelled with a 'u'., like Drew instructed), then split the clue in two with Saviour in the middle. You get the following:
1072010001501315103810003300, Saviour, 6011613839459321251501500117
Saviour is 7 characters long. Divide the clue into 7-character phrases, and you get:
1072010, 0015013, 1510381, 0003300, Saviour, 6011613, 8394593, 2125150, 1500117
There are nine phrases. Saviour is the 9th song on the album. The seven characters seem to suggest a cipher, although it could be anything , or nothing. I feel like we should start talking about the grassy knoll and the Texas School Book Depository or something. -

I wasn't able to come up with a solution that worked last night. This is proving really difficult, especially without the next clue.

Okay, so I think this means that whatever ? stands for in the original clue, whether it's a genetic code or area code or something, it probably refers to a city or a location, or refers to something that's associated with a specific city or location. Since there's 18 songs and 18 treasures, each song will likely correspond to a city.
So if the original clue probably refers to a set of locations, or maybe even a single location. -

Also, I tried GPS coordinates with the first clue. Nothing.

18 tracks, 18 cities...
now to figure out what the connection with the numbers is...
