Fall 2010 Tour
I wanted to start a thread for this tour starting tomorrow. Maybe it can be a place for people to review the shows they've attended, it also would be nice to post setlists.
Have fun to whoever is going to any of the shows over the next two months. We look forward to hearing about the new if any songs that might be played since they have been in the studio recently.

Re: Fall 2010 Tour
Setlist:
Ode To the Sun
Same Ol' Road
Lightswitch
Pariah
Savior
(some little saxophone sample with some drums and guitar I think)
Triangle
Upon Returning*
Bug Eyes->outro
*Yes we have our first official new song! I loved it and my dredg virgin pal thought it was great too! Is it the next "Canyon Behind Her?" No. My best attempt at a description of it's sound would be a mellowed-out "Savior" with a subtle but strong at the same time rockin' groove.

Re: Fall 2010 Tour
I was gonna say the best part of that video was Drew's tie because it looked like he was wearing one at first. But then as the video went on, it looked like he was wearing one less and less. That's what was occupying the majority of my attention throughout the video. Anyway, yeah...I realized around 4:08 that he wasn't wearing one. I wish he was, though. It would make him look like even more of the handsome stud that he is.
Anyway, wow...sorry for getting sidetracked. My only comment on this particular song right now:
The vocals at first kinda reminded me of George Michael's "Careless Whisper" -

Re: Fall 2010 Tour
I went to the show in Dallas last night. As always, Dredg sounded incredible and it was a great show. It's always bittersweet for me when they don't headline, because it seems like they have to burn through a set without getting to fully develop the Dredg experience. Plus, the stage crew took FOREVER to get them set up. I think it made ther crowd restless, and since most of them were there to see Circa Survive (unfortunately) I could sense some impatience nearing the end of Dredg's set. I could have used another hour or so of their music, but I guess that'll have to wait for their next headlining tour.
Here was last night's set list (I may have mixed up the order of a song or two):
Ode to the Sun
Same Ol' Road
Pariah
Upon Returning
Bug Eyes
Jamais Vu
Saviour
Light Switch
Down to the Cellar
I saw on a previous post that the played Triangle at an earlier show. I was pretty bummed that they didn't play it last night, but getting to hear Down to the Cellar was incredible. That's such a powerful song. Overall, great show! I just hate when Dredg is an opening band. I'll be posting some videos soon of a couple songs.
Side note: Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I really can't stand when Dredg is an opening band to someone like Circa Survive. Sorry to any Circa Survive fans, but I feel they just can't compete with Dredg. -

Re: Fall 2010 Tour
Well your not wrong in my opinion for saying Dredg doesnt compare to opening for Circa Survive, a lot of people here will feel the same, this is after all a Dredg fan site. Thanks for posting. Just out of curiosity, since most people there were seeing Circa, how was the reception for Dredg overall? I guess to say that a thing about opening bands is that the people who are there for the main act, are exposed to new bands.

Couldn't agree more.
Actually...on second thought, I COULD. But I won't. -

Re: Fall 2010 Tour
This song is fuckin infectious. Everytime I listen to a new recording of it, its better than the previous one. Cant wait for the new album. Oh how I love this band. -

Re: Fall 2010 Tour
I like the song but I don't think it's anything special, considering it's dredg...one of only two bands that my soul will forever be married to...a band I fell in love with and died for more times than any other band that's ever existed. But I digress...
It's a bit too poppy, but maybe that's to be expected. And "you're our hero"?? How lame is that. That's pretty fuckin' cheesy if you ask me and I'm not buyin' it for one second. YOU'RE our hero, dredg...even though...well...let's not say that...

Re: Fall 2010 Tour
I think your getting it all wrong. Its not poppy at all. Pariah had a lot songs that were more poppy than Upon Returning. And whens the last time you heard lyrics that were reflected off of the band itself, not just the singer... hence the 'our hero', who i'm assuming is Salmon Rusdie?

I had doubts that it was Hero, but thanks for clearing it up. Anyone know what is on the drum cover?

Re: Fall 2010 Tour
KC Show was good for not being a headliner. Short set. One new song. Hopefully they will come back to promote the new album and headline. Seems like im bitchn, i just wanted more. They sounded great, vocals as well.

If anyone meets them at the future shows they should ask if they are planning on doing a headlining tour anytime soon. Would be good info to know.

Re: Fall 2010 Tour
And to Snakehead's question about the drum cover, if you are referring to Dino's kick drum I'm pretty sure i read something like "There is an I in Dino"
