So there's this new Ghostbusters video game.
And apparently it was written by Harold Ramis and Dan Akroyd.

I've decided I need to play this game.

It's been my understanding that the game is supposed to basically be the third movie.

99% of movie games suck. Even if the story is good, I'm still counting on the game to suck.

i actually heard that there are talks of making a new movie as well as the game now.

not exceptionally hopeful on that...but, it'd be cool to see.

i need to get this game....not sure when i'd play it...but i want to...

That's because they're usually thrown together with hopes of suckering some fanboys into buying the game. They never spend much time developing the game. They just throw it together to make some money off of the success of the game.

Now, this game was developed as a game with Ghostbusters as the premise. There was no parallel movie production that they were chasing. The game was the focus. Now, I haven't played the game, but I expect it to be better than most of the movie turds out there.

The Matrix game was pretty solid. Other than that, the list is quite limited. I played the Iron Man demo and it was one of the worst games I've ever played. I just saw some stuff from E3 that looks like someone took the Iron Man game engine and developed it much better. Basically, you have a flight suit like Iron Man, but the physics in the game aren't as terrible.

Enter the Matrix, however was arguably the glitchiest game I've ever played.

I really can't disagree there, which kind of goes back to the rushed production of those games. It was just an example of a movie turned game that was at least decent.

Then again, all of this pales in comparison to what the Rock did to Doom. That was one of the biggest turds ever produced.

I didn't mind the Doom movie. But then again, I expected it to be horrible. And you could have had the best talent in Hollywood working on that movie, it'd still be crap. It's a stupid story in general. Stupid action movies are just a good time.

That Wolverine game wasn't too bad. If the movie experience had been the game experience, that film would have been bad ass.

The problem I had with it is that it wasn't the story of the Doom game at all. They got that it was on Mars, that's about the end of it. If they were just going to disregard the storyline of one of the most storied games of all time, why not just leave the name alone? That's why I hated it. It was closer to the story of Resident Evil than it was to Doom.

Doom really didn't have much of a story. You're a space marine, you're on mars, the portal to hell has opened. Come fight.

and yes. not a fan of the new mars volta either.

nor am i an enemy of it.

we just coexist and don't bother each other.

oh man thats the best comment about the album ive read so far. Some people are such huge fanboys of Mars volta that they will cum buckets over anything they put out. And then some people actually do enjoy it. So I dont know. good thing they only take a year and a half to put out new albums. I mean ill buy it just to add it to my MV collection of cds.

i heard that they were already done with their next ablum....no joke

Damn that would be sick. Yea they were done with this one last august....So that leads me to believe that this one is pretty much finished as well. Did i hear something about how if this one is there version of an "Acoustic/Mellow" record, then the next one is the "Metal" record. I would be very happy if so! The best band that put out a mellow album in the middle of their discography is Opeth for sure with their "Damnation" record.

I don't know; the last album they put out (The Bedlam In Goliath) was actually pretty aggressive. I would definitely say that's the hardest one they've done so far anyway. And I actually love Octahedron, they do mellowness very well imo.

    ****FAN 4 LIFE!!!!!!**** lmao

This may be sorta strange, but . . . I can't stand The Mars Volta.
Friends of mine who love dredg recommended I check them out, and I did (even saw them live) but I just can't dig it.
It's weird because I should like them given my musical tastes, but I just can't . . .
    I find it strange.
