^ Nice post! I had similar experiences from 2002-2006.

For me, dredg is more than just music...it's a way of life. Their last record didn't impress me that much, but that probably just goes to show how much the previous records blew me away...and that's probably why I didn't enjoy PPD as much as the others. It all comes full circle and you can only go so far, I guess...

Dredg is totally a way of life for me...believe it or not, their music has become one of the reasons I'm living an even MORE healthy of a lifestyle...but, of course, I'm still my own person

    Some really interesting insights.

For me, Dredg is one of the highest forms of art in the modern "band" form of music. I'm a college music major and I hate seeing the recycled, cookie cutter crap bands that have filled the mainstream these days. Dredg is truly a breath of fresh air and I sincerely feel inspired when I listen to them. I feel like I can really listen to them and discover more and more layers of depth in their creativity.

I absolutely agree with you right here, D. Good music is VERY hard to find in this day in age.

Dredg is like the one band I feel like I can relate to their lyrics. Songs such as 'I Don't Know' and 'Jamais Vu' just feel like Gavin dug into my head and took my thoughts and wrote a song about them. I just genuinely feel something each Dredg song I listen to. Only band that's really been able to do that.

when i discovered dredg it was sort of the next step for me. the qualitiy of their music, the lyrics, the whole thing...i needed time to understand them the right way and at a certain point it made BAM. there was a time when i was almost listening to no other band. mark, dino, drew and gavin are role models for me in several things and they where a part of growing up for me, so they will always be one of my no1. bands.
and by the way, it's nice to see that there are people like you who feel the same way and it's nice to read those entries.

Oh, I know, I think Gavin pretty much helped me release some words from MY mouth and similar thoughts from MY head! And I LOVE it! Dredg will ALWAYS be genuine to me!

I love how Dredg can reach out/heal SO MANY....their music is synonymous to defending you when bullied/overwhelmed----so comforting yet so educational...my kids will be listening to Dredg in the womb for sure

I am glad you say that. People really need to share stuff like this as Dredg is healing music. Who needs Ambien, Melatonin, and Speed when you have dredg?

My favorite music and movies are the ones that take a session of artistically oriented imagination to understand, hence why dredg is my favorite band. It's the counter to the endless entertainment tv trap- it's art that can be endlessly understood.
