limited edition version of CD?
I remember reading somewhere that there was going to be a limited edition version of the CD (if I remember correctly) with different artwork... does anybody else recall hearing that information, or know anything about that? I checked a couple record stores yesterday and only came across one version....

The limited edition is being worked one. I believe they are looking at a fall release.

I also didn't know about this, but I don't really mind. The more copies of the album sold, the more it supports the band. =) -

The limited edition will have a lot of bonus stuff on it that will make it well worth the purchase. Its not like their "pulling anything" in the slightest.

If you check out the German Amazon site (amazon.de), there is a limited edition of the cd for sale. Not sure of any details though.

yeh, they've been pretty up front with this information in interviews and other news reports over the last few months.
don't ask me for an example of such report though....i don't feel like searching :) -

This is FREAKING ANNOYING though. I lvoe this band and this cd but WHY do they do bands pull this kind of crap???? Is it going to be the same price or will it cost more???

From my understanding, it was delayed so as to a) get the CD out ASAP without pushing it back further and b) to make some money so they can put out the limited edition. -

Fair enough...:) i will still buy it regardless of the price hopefully some nice goodies will be thrown in.

from what i understand from talking with drew a while back...
a more extensive making of / possible chronology of all the 'makings of' of their previous records, could be included on an included dvd.
B-sides have been mentioned/hinted at of being included via interviews with the band while promoting PPD over the last few months.
that's all i can offer for now though. i'm sure there will be an announcement about it as the release date draws closer. -

I will rebuy it. I am down to support the band with 10-20 more dollars.
I am trying to find a digipack version of el cielo but since they all have the same number I cant figure out which version of el cielo are the ones for sale online unless there is a picture. weather its the digi pack version the black cover version or the regular version. I want to buy a digipack version and a black cover one but I dont know if i will be able to find it. Thats like trying to find Orph...maybe not as hard as orph...also the SACD version sells for a ridiculous amount online which I cant figure out. -

I think that releasing a Limited Edition months after an album's initial release is just a good way of doing business.
It seems to be working very well for other artists. What's even better is to include a single that is ONLY found on the LE. This produces great sales. =D -

Its not, the limited edition is going to have footage and stuff on it that they are still collecting I believe. Or just editing, either way its not out because they are still collecting stuff/putting it together.

fans should be stoked on this because its another opportunity to support dredg & check out what's new on the deluxe edition -- nothing wrong with giving away your old copy to some new ears!

that's the german version of the limited edition.
apparently there were some content standards/requirements that dredg needed to follow for the US version of the limited edition....which is what kept them from putting it out now...which is also, from what i understand, making them have to put more content into it....so....i see this as a good thing that we have to wait. -

I'm missing the lyrics in the booklet of the limited version... Are there any lyrics in the "normal" version?
