What browser are you using?
Also, avatars work best when they are a perfect square. -

At home I'm using windows explorer and Vista, at work it's windows explorer and I don't even know what .... here's the message I keep getting, regardless of what PC I'm on:
"Your file upload failed. Perhaps it was of an unapproved file type."
But I can assure you, I am not using unapproved file types. I've tried every sort of image in my archives... jpgs... bmps.... whatever. No go. -

Perhaps your image is not in the format you think it is, regardless of file extension?

Give a little more information ;)
What is the size of picture in pixel and KBs? And what is the file extention?
PM me with a link or I can give you an email to send me the picture and I will resize it for you :) -

Most likely its the wrong size as people have said. If you can move the topic to the ask the staff section of the forum you might get better feedback from the people who created the forum.

I couldn't get mine to either so i tried it in Internet Explorer and it worked.

Maybe it's a Adblock/Noscript issue. It worked for me though.

Ya, maybe every file I've tried thus far. . .has been too large.
I know one on my hd that might work, let me try that next. -

Well, the image didn't work - it was a jpeg, only 4 KB in size - tiny - - but InfraredDream is helping me out, so wish us luck.

Silly question, but after choosing the file, are you selecting Save at the bottom? That's when it actually uploads the file.

I'm glad you asked that question - - if memory serves, I've been selcting UPDATE - and then getting the error messages. Didn't even see a Save button. I will go back and try again - - maybe that's it! -

Okay, this is probably just a technicality - - but there is no "Save" button at the bottom of my page- -
Only an "Update" button, and a "Cancel" button. Those are my only 2 options. I figure that's what you meant by "Save", now - you meant, hit the UPdate button -I presume.
Still not working.

My next try will be thusly:
One of my coworkers has a MacPro, here. I am simply going to email my av as an attachment to them - - then log on through his Macbook - - - and try it from there. If that doesn't work - - I'll report back. Wish me luck. -
